How to Convert Voice to Text on a Mac. By: Ellis Davidson. Converting text to speech is very full-featured, but the built-in speech recognition system is much more limited. You can work with the built-in services in some cases, but you may need a more full-fledged dictation software. The 'Text to Speech' utility allows you to configure your computer so the machine recognizes the words you type on screen and converts them into a computerized voice audible through the speakers. Click 'Start' and select 'Control Panels' from the menu.

Personally, my favorite voices, in order, are: • Alex, a wee bit faster than 'Normal' speed • Vicki, normal speed • Fred, a little faster than normal • Bruce, at normal These days I probably listen to Alex 80% of the time, and Vicki the rest of the time, with an occasional Fred or Bruce. Professional Morphing Tool for Everyone Morphing and Warping for Mac Morph Age is an application for morphing/warping images (such as faces) on macOS, and lets you save the result as a video. Morph Age has most of the latest advances in image morphing features, including Smart Assist and interactive preview. It also supports real time prototyping and motion/blend curve editing. Morph Age works by allowing you to define curves on one or more images. Any change made on the curves is reflected on the resulting image through the corresponding distortion and morphing effect. Blazingly fast GPU-based rendering Hit play, Morph Age renders in real-time, whatever image size. Morph Age has an extremely fast rendering engine that combines CPU operations (optimized for Intel Macs) and GPU, or graphics card, power. It enables real-time rendering on mega pixel images still being accurate to sub-pixel. Moreover, the latest version of Morph Age even added support for the Core Image library of Mac OS X for filtering, also executed on the graphics card for maximum performance. Controlling the morphing animation Morph Age can animate warp curves independently, so that different parts of the image moves at different times (the eyes, then the ears, then the mouth.). Also, animation effects are available, such as springy motion. Morph Age shows the result in real time, so that you can quickly and easily prototype the transformation. Non-linear transformations In Morph Age, not only shapes and curves can be animated at will, in a fully controlled way, but also blending. Blending tells what amount, or percentage, of the first image that you want to combine with the second one. In a man to tiger morphing animation for instance, it makes it possible to have a man quickly show up with the tiger fur while still having human traits. Or in a man to man project, have a 30/70 mix for the traits, while having a 60/40 on textures for interesting effects. Sub-pixel Accuracy Morph Age has full support for zooming and scrolling capabilities. Morph Age offers subpixel accuracy, zooming allows precise curve placement. This permits fine-tuning of the curves that define the transformation, thus avoiding the 'ghost' effect typical of morphing applications. Curve fine-tuning is seen in real-time in the interactive preview panel. Zooming Zooming allows accurate curve placement. This is necessary as Morph Age offers sub-pixel accuracy. Mac Program For Slideshow With MusicMac Program For Warping Text In PhotoshopThe real-time preview rendering can also be zoomed and can serve to assist precise curve placement. Colorizing Morph Age has colorizing options that makes Hulk-like warp effects possible. This works by allowing the user to define, independently for each curve, a color that will 'bleed' on the underlying image parts. This color bleeding is animated consistently with the deformation. Layers Layers in Morph Age is a way to express that parts of the image are above others. This is used to express that the chin is above the clothes and that whenever the chin is moved downwards, it should pass over them (and not under). Real-time Rendering Morph Age uses advanced GPU rendering techniques, allowing real-time preview even for mega-pixels images. Warping Text In SilhouetteMac Program For Burning CdsClick Play, and you see the morph/warp in real-time, whatever the image size. You can even move the curves that define the transformation while the animation is playing. This makes it convenient for iterative placement of curves as there is no lag in the render-cycle, making Morph Age well suited to easily and rapidly prototype the effect you want. I have an awful time with Pages on my lap top. I am used to Appleworks 6.2 on my older desktop (PowerMac G4 / OS 10.4.11). If I specify a US letter page I get that in Appleworks, it is then 8.1/2' x 11', without running into pre-existing formats or other similar distractions. I can immediately type a neat business letter. Not with Pages. On my MacBookAir, with Pages 4.3 and OS 10.8.4, I can type alright, but when I want to print what I typed, only a small part of what I typed shows up in in Print Preview of my typed page. After a bit of backtracking, I notice a blue-lined rectangle on my typed page containing the portion of my typing that appeared in that Print Preview. It is apparently a self-formed 'text box', that was not a part of my blank template page and was not inserted by me while or just before I typed. I did not find any way to delete the edges of that text box. The 'delete' option under the pull down edit menu is blanked out. If I click on the 'Text box ' symbol in the menu bar it does not let me switch off the text box, but instead gives me another text box inside the first one! I suppose this is to allow user to print only a single keyboard stroke of the entire letter. Since you created a new text document in order to write your web page, you can press Ctrl+S (Windows) or ⌘ Command+S (Mac) to do so. You can also click File and then click Save As in the resulting drop-down menu. This works on both Windows and Mac computers. Viewing text messages from iPhone to computer can be a little tricky since there are not a lot of apps available on Apple store like Android smartphones that can help to view iPhone messages on computer. I needed a little help after I followed your instructions in order to paste the screen-shot into my NOTE. Fortunately, my son was here and helped me. In the unlikely event that there are other tech-challenged individuals, like me, out there who need a little further instruction, I thought I would send the play-by-play necessary to complete the process. For continuity sake, I will start at the beginning, repeating your most-helpful instructions: 1. Pull up your text message, choose the screen you wish to save, and press the power button plus the main button at the bottom of your iPhone simultaneously. You will quickly hear the picture-taking sound, indicating your screen-shot is taken. Open your NOTES app, create a new NOTE, and name it (by typing a word or two at the top of the NOTE). NOTE names are usually automatically created from the first few words, or the first line of, the NOTE, itself, but not during this process. For your first screen-shot, tap the screen, anywhere. Options will appear, including 'Paste' and 'Insert Photo.' Both will cause your screen-shot to appear in your NOTE; however, I discovered a different benefit, unique to each option. Selecting 'Paste' is, by far, the quickest way to get your text-message screen-shot into your NOTE. However, if your text is very lengthy, this may, ultimately, be a much slower option. For a text requiring many, separate screen-shots, it is easier and faster to take all your screen-shots back to back, one after the other and then paste them, individually, into your NOTE. This avoids the needs to stop after each screen-shot, open NOTES, paste, then re-open the text again and again. Doing it all at once is much more efficient. After all your screen-shots are taken, open the NOTES app, create and name a new NOTE. Get Iphone Text Messages On ComputerView Text Messages From Iphone On MacFor adding the first screen-shot to your NOTE, you can tap the screen anywhere, then select 'Insert Photo' from the mini-menu. Your photos will appear as; 'All Photos' and 'Moments;' both contain your screen-shots, so either option is fine. Tap the screen-shot you want to put in your NOTE, then select, 'Choose,' from the next screen (lower right corner). Repeat this process until the entire text message is copied into your NOTE. Tap the middle icon at the very bottom of your completed NOTE screen; there are three, all very light orange. Mail the NOTE to yourself, and print it, or, if you have the ability to print from directly from your phone, select 'Print.' ***WORD OF CAUTION ( READ THIS BEFORE YOU BEGIN): Be aware that the name of the Contact you were texting with will show itself in each and every screen-shot. |
